Trying to paint tarnished copper, am looking at the Tamiya xf-12 J.N. grey, not sure if that's a good match. Does Vallejo have anything close? or Modelmaster? saw a reference to RAF interior green (or grey?) can't seem to find that anywhere. thanks in advance for ideas.

ps. I'm red-green deficient, so difficult to mix my own colors in this area. so be kind.
The green in copper patina varies a lot, so it isn't critical. Modelmaster does have an interior green, and that should work, or the matt green of Testors small bottles should also.

I have Testors Model Master RAF Interior Green. In my opinion, it looks too greenish and dark for tarnished copper. You could add a little white to it though. What kit are you working on for tarnished copper?
If you have a nearby store that sells Games Workshop/Citadel stuff, look for the Nihilakh Oxide Technical paint. Just about perfect. Kind of thin and runny so it slithers into crevaces, etc.

that's good to hear about the RAF green. I agree with Don that there's lots of variability, but color matching on scalemodeldb.com I ended up with lots of Pantone shades of green, but nothing specifically in a hobby paint.
Love the suggestion of the Nihilakh Oxide, looks like I can get it on ebay pretty easily. If it works and looks good that would be ideal.
I'm trying to do some copper roof ridges on a building structure that I'm finishing up that has a slate roof. here's a pic below. I'm thinking a piece of .060" or .080" angle styrene painted up in tarnished copper would achieve the right look.
Try MM Turquois from the car line.
