I used Tamiya's IJA Green on my Shinhoto Chi Ha. And Mr Color IJA Armor Green (from ther IJA armor paint set) on my early model Type 97. That Green is a bit brighter & lighter than the colors you mention, similar to Tamiya Deep Green

Thank you all. Would Nato Green (Tamiya), or Olive Drab (Vallejo) work?

If you plan on weathering the finshed build, I say cover the bottom in mud. Otherwise, paint it in the base color, which for IJA equipment I belive was a khaki shade.

Hello, how should I paint the bottom of the tank in 3-tone camouflage? (Tamiya Type 97 Chi-Ha)

Turn it over?  Big Smile

Sorry, I couldn't resist a lil' kidding.

How about painting that first?

I know that when I do German 3 tone camo,I do the bottom in the base color Dunkelgelb, probably the same for the Japanese tank, whatever the base color is.
