comfortability of airbrush booth
Posted by 40kminis on Friday, April 15, 2016 7:54 PM

I have been reading a lot of reviews here on FSM about the various models of airbrush booths. Both Pace and Artograph seem to be two that get a lot of attention.

The comfort factor of the booths are not something I see anyone talk about. The Pace models have no space between the table and the airbrush booth. The artograph have a decent elevation do to the fans on the bottom. I sit when I paint so would that make the Artograph difficult to use since it is so elevated?

I would be interested in the Pace Peace Maker but it is a top draft and I want to stay away from those. I would prefer a back or bottom draft. And I like how the top is clear and you can attach a light.

I use a portable airbrush spray booth because of ease of use and portability. I don't have the space or the money to invest on a permanent airbrush station.

If it sits too low, one can place it on a box or other structure to raise it.

I basically hung mine on the wall, by putting up a shelf at just the height I wanted it, using two heavy-duty shelf (L) brackets and cut a piece of plywood for the shelf.

Hi Don, thanks for the reply sir.

I was actually thinking the artograph painting surface will be too high due to the fans on the bottom.

Anyone had any uncomfortability issues while airbrushing on the artograph 1520 or 1530?

I'm confused why you would say they would be uncomfortable to use.

well the reason I say that (and I don't know for sure) but it looks like you would have to stand to paint since the paint platform is so high.

A station like the Pace booths, the painting area where you are airbrushing would be flush with the table so you could paint in a normal sitting position.

My question is for those with the Artograph and can they paint sitting? It has the fans on the bottom and the painting area is so high above the table so just trying to see if you can still paint sitting down with the 1530.

Hopefully that makes sense.

Get a section of that rubber industrial stand on mat. Put the booth on it.

Mine is a collapsible Paasche. I LOVE the thing.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
