Spraying kit chromed parts with Testors Dullcoat is a quick way to turn chrome look into appearance of cast aluminum.  No need to remove the chrome (actually, that "chrome" is typically actually a thin vacuum-deposited aluminum ).

I have a 1/48 early testors gates learjet. they chromed the landing gear, that I would rather paint polished aluminum. I know I have seen somewhere how to remove it, or is posible to prime over it?  thanks  aardvark
