Broken nozzle replacement and nozzle sizes
Posted by sherbir on Monday, August 22, 2016 1:08 AM

Hello folks,

I hate to say this but I recently purchased my airbrush and had been using it for about a week practicing my techniques with cleaning/spraying and all the rest of it but while cleaning it yesterday, the nozzle wouldn't fit in the same way it used to. It just kept falling off

I carefully examined and found that I ended up breaking the nozzle from the thread part of it probably by over-tightening it.

I have been trying to find spares nozzles but I can't figure if I am doing the right thing.

My questions:

1. Do the airbrushes have standard nozzle sizes ? (mine mentions 0.2mm-0.4mm)

2. Is the nozzle size the same as the needle size ? (mine is a 0.2mm needle)

3. Is there any way I can continue using the airbrush, though I have carefully fit the parts back in

4. How can I tell if these will fit my airbrush? (links below)

Aerograph AG-136B airbrush

0.3mm Nozzles

Help is much appreciated.

Regards,

Sherbir

Hi Sherbir,

Sorry to hear about your problem.  If your needle is designed for a .2mm nozzle the nozzle should match.  I would contact the Aerograph company and ask what they can do for you.  Maybe there is a local distributor.  It's possible the nozzles you linked to would fit and work, but it's hard to tell.
