plasticjunkie One thing I have noticed with this product is that Solvaset stains the surrounding decal area leaving a dull finish. It's no big issue after some clear flat is sprayed to even out things. This does not happen with Future. I let both products stand after application to cure for 3-4 days minimum.

Alclad Aqua Gloss is an acrylic like Future, not a lacquer. Alclad Klear Kote is solvent based.
And as to your question, yes you can and visa versa. You can spray Aqua Gloss over Lacquer and clear lacquer flat over Aqua Gloss acrylic. Just make sure to let a day or 2 go by and spray light coats that will dry on contact and will not attack the acrylic. I do this all the time with Aqua Gloss and Future.
From Alclad's site:
ALC 600 Aqua Gloss Clear 4oz/120ml this is a water based clear which was developed to seal Alclad Chrome and other Hi-Shine finishes-it is airbrush ready and dries in 15 minutes. Aqua Gloss Clear can also be used as a gloss coat over matte paints before decaling, canopies and clear plastic parts can be dipped in it to improve clarity Aqua Gloss Clear may be used on clean grease free plastic as a base coat for ALL Alclad metal finishes. And I think Alclad's naming of their clear lacquer and water-based products is unnecessarily confusing. I've been using the both for years now and I still need to open the bottle and smell it to confirm which is which.
And I agree, it should be fine.
Cadet Chuck Hold on there! I don't think Alclad is an acrylic, rather it is a synthetic lacquer. Test on a scrap piece first-

Test on a scrap piece first-
Alclad Aqua Clear is acrylic. All other Alclad clears are lacquer.
Alclad Aqua is not a lacquer, its an acrylic. It is designed to be used over their own lacquers, so yes it will be fine.
I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

Acrylic over lacquer should be fine.
