When Testors came out with their Acrylic paints in the early 90s it had a black label, similar to the Model Master Enamel paints. But it had a light gray bottle cap. In the mid to late 90s they revamped their acrylic formula and line, as well as introducing the new expanded Model Master II Enamel lines. The bottle caps were identical (black), but for the "new" acryl formula they introduced the new red label that set it apart from the old acrylic formula (which are not supposed to mix with the older acrylics) and the enamel Model Master and Model Master II lines. The newest revamp of their paint lines has seen many colors discontinued, some new colors introduced, new nearly identical labels between the acrylic and enamel lines. Look carefully when you're at the store buying them yourself, as you know how folks dont put stuff back on the paint rack properly.

Hmmm.. Does one say acrylic enamel (blue stripe on label)? I've got a few acrylic paint bottles with the blue stripes on them.

I'm pretty sure that it is just new labels to go with the revised line. Some colors were discontinued, and some new ones introduced. The new labels appeared at that time. The red Acryl label is the older label style.
