Upgrading to an Aztek A470? Is it worth it?
Posted by Boxcar Willy on Saturday, March 20, 2004 10:11 PM
I am thinking of upgrading to an Aztek A470.
Has anybody used one?
Are they worth looking at?
I am presently using a Pasche single action brush.

Willy,

Many people here have had troubles with the Azteks and some really like them, so the choice is yours. Personally I feel that if you are going to upgrade to a better airbrush then get a tried and true designed metal bodied model such as a Badger, Iwata, or Paasche as they work day in and day out and don't have near the problems that the Azteks do.
That's my $.02 anyway. Big Smile [:D]Wink [;)]

I have the A4709 got a good deal on it was the reason I bought it. I like it for the most part but I have not used anything else either to compare it to. The only problem I really have is the tips get clogged up occasionally.

What kind of Paasche are you using? The Paasche H?

I don't think the money would be well spent on this upgrade. I had good usage out of my Aztek, but I got fed up replacing tips. It gets quite expensive.
