to future or not to future?
Posted by Anonymous on Sunday, March 21, 2004 9:21 PM
I have just finished a beautiful P-51 mustang with tinted panels and all. It a been a battle between me and Model Masters Buffing Aluminum. Every time I get a finger print on the paint it turns black. I'll cut to the chase. Will it be ok after more curing. Is ok to put future over it? Should I put future over it? If I do put future over it, Do I paint or do I Airbrush. I hope I didn confuse anyone

Thanks.

Have you tried the Model Masters Metalizer Sealer?? I know they make a special sealant for those type of paints. Other than that, I'm not much help. But in my experience it seems that any type of metallic paint seems to rub off with a touch of your fingers, due to the oils in your skin. I have used future on silver chrome parts, but not on a full on Bare Metal Bird.
