Passche H won't suck!

On the bottle cap, there is a very small vent hole that might be restricted causing the problem. You might also try running a pipe cleaner soaked in lacquer thinner through the the bottle feed assembly. After this, put some lacquer thinner in the bottle and try to spray this. All of this assumes that your airbrush is clean. If not, soak the airbrush parts in lacquer thinner for a couple of hours and then give it another try. I have found that most problems originate from having a less than clean nozzle.

Agree 100% with Mike .... had this exact problem with my Paasche H a couple of times.

I was ready to agree with you guys until I noticed in his post that he said he has already bought new bottles and caps. If by "Caps" he means the siphon cap that would eliminate the problem you refer to. Of course, he could mean just plain old cover-type caps to.

I bought new bottles and caps which included new tubes. I've changed tips with some of the others I have also. While I've never socked the parts in any solutions, I have cleaned them. The only thing I can think of is maybe they are just not clean enough. I'll try soaking them and see what happens. I did find however find that if I open the jet up alot, it will spray. You can forget fine or light spraying though.

Let me also add that the first symptom of this was when you hit the trigger, you got a small amount of spray, a pause of no paint, then spray again. This happens each time you let off the trigger. It's as if it has to reprime itself each time.

If you hold your finger in front of the brush with the trigger down, do you at least feel air coming out? If so, and assuming that it "Feels About Right" then the problem is in the paint system. If not it is in the air portion somewhere.

I'm not a Paasche person, I use Badgers, but I found a parts breakdown of the "H" model on Paasche's site and it had this information in it:

HOW TO OPEN CLOGGED FLUID PASSAGES
1. Agitate color in Bottle Assembly by placing finger momentarily over HC- Aircap while air is passing through the Airbrush. This will blow color back into bottle thus opening clogged fluid passages. Do not do this with a cup as color may blow out of cup.

2. Should H-1, 3 or 5 Color Adjusting Part Assembly become clogged, loosen H-153 Set Screw, unscrew HT-1, 3 or 5 Tip from HN- or HNS- Needle, gently pull back through ball-shaped support and remove Tip.

3. Clean Parts carefully, using nothing harder than a wooden toothpick.

4. To reassemble, reverse this procedure, making sure the shoulder of the Needle seats up against ball-shaped support.

5. If the needle and tip are completely clogged, soak in a closed bottle of proper solvent until clean.

Is the feed tube bigger from the cuos your using and the smaller sized ones you mentioned that worked? If the tube is larger at all (inner diameter) you may need to increase your airflow just a bit to help pull the greater volume of paint through.
