Transparent paint for clear plastic

I only have experience with Tamiyas clear paints.

You can get away with brush painting it...only on small areas...even then, I haven't had GREAT results, just good enough to "pass".

It does seem to have an almost flat finish when I've airbrushed it, but at least it's even. 

Best tip I can give, paint the inside of the part for best results. Makes a huge difference!

  Thanks fo the advice,  I do have tamiya transparent green.  so i'll try the brush method,  their fairly small windows.

For small parts like position lights and stop light lenses I use highlighter marker pens.  Not good for large windows and such as paint does not flow and it is hard to get an even coat, but great for small pieces you can do with one pass.

This is the most recent...I brush painted the inside.

That's 1/72, those windows are only about 1/4" long...any bigger than that, and I would have sprayed em.

Looks like that will work.  It's for the MD500 I'm doing up in the helicoptor  column

All as above, spray thinned Tamiya clears in the inside, to get an even coat.

I've found that brush painting only works for tiny turn indicators, stop lights etc.

Never thought of using markers for lights etc, but I do use a chisel-edged paint marker to do the rims around transparencies...
