Alclad shades will produce a very realistic rendition of what you are looking for. They have a clear blue for the heat descoration look. I have used Tamiya clear blue which works equally well.

Does anyone know of a good how-to-article or any post on painting the heat marks on a F-100.  especially using Alcald.  Hopefully with pictures.

Thanks

John
