After spraying on some gloss red tamiya paint, i started to remove the masking tape and before I knew it I touched a bit of the painted area. It left a finger print. I do not want to sand the area as there is molded rivet detail and a few swipes of sanding would remove the detail.
I was thinking of just dipping a paint brush or cotton swab into some tamiya thinner of 91% alcohol to "re wet" the paint and remove the finger print. I could then remask and re paint the area to clean it up.
Any other suggestions to preserve the rivet detail and remove the finger print?
