Vallejo Weathering Set
Posted by JDHammer on Sunday, June 11, 2017 11:43 AM

Hi Guys,

Just finished my tank's base coat in Tamiya OD acryilic, then sprayed two coats of PFM (Future)- all is well so far!  My question is, did I make a mistake ordering Vallejo's weathering set for this project? Looks like a fine product but I just noticed that it is also acrylic based. Will this be a problem or should I use artist oils for the weathering instead?

Thanks, back into the hobby and loving the "new" paints!

Spraying over the initial acrylic coat with PFM (Future) probably will protect it from the acrylic weathering overcoats, but I would test it on scrap first, just to be sure.

Gimme a pigfoot, and a bottle of beer...

Thanks for the help Chuck, I will give this a try. If it doesn't work I have a full jar of mud effects to use on it ☺.
