Painting zinc model
Posted by Roverholic on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 6:45 AM

Hi

Newbie question alert. If I wanted to paint a zinc minature model would I need to prime this first or can I use a specific paint to go straight on to the model? See below link for what I want to paint and the result I want to acheive.

Had a look around the internet but couldn't specifically find the advice I needed.

Cheers everyone! :)

A good primer intended for metal surfaces is really important.  Long time ago I used zinc chromate primer in spray cans before that was outlawed.  Now, I use auto body primer, such as Duplicolor, for metal kits or metal pieces.
