I have been modeling for about 4mths l brush painting everything I can't afford airbrush and compressor.my problem is I'm using tamyia acrylics and no matter what I do when I paint large areas I end up with brush marks I've tried x20a thinner I've tried tamyia retarder nothing seems work what am I doing wrong tried mixing paint thinner 1 drop retarder 50/50 tried 70/30 nothing works ready to give up. Please help also I use red Sable brushes

I have never been able solve this problem. I only use enamal paint when using a brush on large areas. Maybe someone else can help.

Why not use spray paint instead of hand brushing large areas. That's what I used back in the days when I didn't own an airbrush and compressor.

Tamiya paints do not brush well. Use Vallejo model color to brush paint or like it was said, use spraypaint. Nearly impossible to paint large areas by brush.
