Yes, it's normal to see some bubbles. Whether it matters is a matter of opinion. A lot of airbrush artists think it does, and put bees wax or chapstick on the threads. I don't agree. The air loss is so small compared to what is coming out around the nozzle, I can't see how it could make any difference. Try it both ways and see what works the best for you.
