Oils can take 24 hours or up to several days to dry, depending upon how much the oils have been thinned. The more they have been thinned, the sooner they will dry. That being said, once they have completely dried and cured, the can be covered with a Future topcoat.

Future over craft oil paint over Tamiya acrylic
Posted by cadman on Sunday, January 7, 2018 3:47 PM

Hello, I just spray painted my project with Tamiya acrylic paint,  I let it dry overnight and brushed thinned oil paint from tube over the acrylic for wood like look. My question is how long does it take for the oil paint to dry and can I spray future on the oil paint?

Thanks in advance, George
