There are numerous videos on youtube. You will get so many opinions on how to do it and everyone has their own method. Google is your best friend.

Spitfire IXc Cockpit Weathering

Hi there,

New to the forum and looking for advice on weathering the cockpit of my Spitfire to look used but not abused.

Using the basecoat of XF-71 and wondering what to use for shades.  thinking Humbrol 80, but then to give it that used look I'm wondering if you'd add in a burnt umber.

For highlights I'm thinking adding white to the base and drybrushing the details.

Looking for some pointers.

Cheers,

David
