Tamiya Gun Metal X-10 airbrushed?
Posted by Wilbur Wright on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 12:03 PM

Have any of you ever airbrushed Tamiya gun metal X-10, and if so were there any problems?

It's always seemed thicker and heavier to me, I'm wonderig about it's airbrush qualities.

Tamiya metalic paints seem to be thicker than the normal pigments probably due to the bonding agents they use. They haven't been a problem for me to airbrush however. Just use some Tamiya thinner X20A and they should airbrush just fine.

Yes they are thicker in my experience as well when airbrushing.
