lordfader, the ratio is for the paint and the "+" is to mix the paints together. So for this example it would be 2 parts XF-3 and 1 part XF-5 mixed together and then thin as needed.

One thing I hate with Tamiya is those damn color call out ratios. Do yourself a favor, find the correct color besides Tamiya call outs. The color you want is Green Zinc Chromate.

Sorry for a newb question, but painting instructions in a F4U kit show 'XF-3:2 + XF-5:1.' I understand the color portion, but the ratio? Thinner? Finally, the "+" to mix the two results together? Thanks much.
