The only thing different I would do is to spray a clear gloss before decals, then seal them with another light gloss coat,do your weathering then seal witha dull acrylic.  You might take a chance of the laquer clear reacting with the enamel clear if not fully dry, or use a clear gloss laquer instead of the gloss enamel.

Correct sequence on brush painting acrylics.

Hello,

I have looked through many posts and watched a lot of tutorials and purchased magazines but could not find a clear answer. I understand that air brushing is the way to go but that is not possible for me! I have never constructed a plastic model before only wooden ships. My question is: I want to use Tamiya spray primer then a Tamiya spray base coat. Next I believe that I paint my camo pattern add decals then use a spray ENAMEL gloss coat so that I will be able to use acrylic paint for weathering etc. When finished apply a flat lacquer finish. Does sound like a plan as I have not purchased any supplies as yet?

Thanks
