I have owned both and would not change from a krome for anty other brush. Tried a lot of brands and models and that is the one for me especially for detail. Needle taper, atomization, control and ability for finer work is all superior to the Iwata. Parts and repair are fast and USA. And this is less money too.

As a fellow fairly happy with my Iwata HP-CS and happier yet with my H&S,, Modelmakers comments don't surprise me and I am surprised this thread hasn't prompted more such comments.

In the 5 yrs I've been hanging around here, I've never heard anything except praise for Badger airbrushes.

I can't because I only have the HP-CS, not the Krome.

But I'll bet once you go gravity feed, you'll never look back.

Have you looked at Don Wheeler's pages?

HP-CS or Krome?

Hi guys,

I have been airbrushing for years and am wanting to try a gravity feed ab. I have always used siphon types (Paashce VL and Badger Anthems) I have kind of narrowed it down to the HP-CS or the Badger Krome. I really like the Krome because of the needle travel setting since I plan to use this brush solely for detail work. Can anyone recommend one over the other?

Chris
