And, blending in the decals is as important.

 Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I end up spraying the whole plane with a very thin semi-transparent weathering mix, either a white, a light grey, or a slightly lightened version of the lightest camouflage color.

There are, however, so camouflage paints that are not very accurate- the color is correct color but too saturated.  In this case you need to mix it with a gray, of same lightness as the gray, before spraying.

 I was wondering what some of you guys do to kinda merge your camo and colours so they don't stand out brightly. I'm completely new to airbrushing so any tips would be appreciated.
