Hi Guys,
My names Joeri and I`m new here, and I really hope you guys can help me out, ive been airbrushing for a good 7 years, fixing all kinds of problems, but this time I have no clue whats going on.
The week I purchased a new set of Original Iwata .35mm needle and nozzle for the HP-CS, because I dropped the nozzle and needle which came with the airbrush during cleaning, damaging them.
I replaced the parts and took out my model and pressed the trigger, and noticed right away there was a huge difference in airpressure coming out of the airbrush, as if only 2-5 PSI was coming out of the airbrush, while the compressor was set at 40 PSI!!
Things I have noticed:
- Low airpressure, as if something is blocking the airflow.
- Sometimes ( not all times ) bubbles will appear, without pulling the trigger.
- When I losen the Nozzle Cap the pressure returns, but bubbles start to appear right away.
Things ive done so far to remedy the problem:
- Checked if the needle and nozzle were indeed .35mm, which they are.
- Check if needle goes through nozzle ( it does, but I could swear my old needle would go a little bit futher.. maybe I`m seeing things ).
- Cleaned up the airbrush thoroughly, took it appart and soaked everything in lacquer thinner for 30 minutes ( minus Rubber seals ofcourse ;-) ).
- When I remove the nozzle cap, air-pressure is normal, and air is coming out of the little hole below the nozzle.
Could it be something`s wrong with the nozzle cap, it didnt fall, nor is nothing blocking it, but when Iscrew it onto the airbrush while pressing the trigger, you do noticed a dramatic change in pressure until it is sealed... resulting in having no pressure.. :S
Unfortunatly I dont have my old needle and nozzle anymore, I threw them away because they were basically useless...
Does any of you have any idea what might be wrong with my airbrush?
