You may get a variation in shades depending on paint brands (ie: Model Master, Pollyscale, Tamiya, Mission Models, etc...) . So how accurate you want to be it's really up to you.

Vallejo for naval ship painting?

I've been very curious to try Vallejo and I found the following PDF document on the Net. For those who have used Vallejo for model building, does what they list for US Navy WWII colors seem accurate?
Look at Pages 3 and 5 of this PDF document.

I am really itching to try and experiment with Vallejo to paint a WWII carrier in a 1945 Measure 22 scheme. But I'm really not sure how accurate the Vallejo colors that are mentioned are for:
Navy Blue 5-N - Vallejo # 816
Haze Gray, 5-H - Vallejo # 905 (or 870?)
Deck Blue, 20-B. Vallejo #'s 867 (or 900)
Flight Deck Stain - ?

I won't go back to using enamels and I won't go back to Tamiya either. As for airbrushing, I can't do that as I don't have an airbrush and have very bad eyesight. So brush painting by hand is the only option for me. I'm also trying to support my local hobby store near me rather than buying online. So it's either the Testor acrylics they carry or Vallejo.
