Put a clearcoat over your base coat.  Then you can clean up the wash safely.

And I'd say go for it with the airbrush!

Thanks,

John

Combination of Rattle Can and Washes?

Hi all,

I'm working on the Moebius 1/160 2001 Space Clipper Odyssey.

It's going to get pre-shading on the panel lines, and I was planning on using a testors white rattle can after that.  But this model has lots of greeblies, and it would be nice to also use a wash to bring out the details better.  I'm not sure how that would work out.

Normally after the wash is applied I would go back over those areas with a brush to correct the "after wash", but with a rattle can that doesn't seem like an option, since the tones will never match correctly, and the paint finish is "rough".  I don't have a lot of airbrush experience, so I've been avoiding large scale use of it.  Perhaps this is the time to start?  Or are there other ways to approach this?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Mark
