Linen

Next up on my build list is Monogram's old Wright Flyer kit.  For the wing parts on this, I am planning to paint them in a "linen" color.  I've never been able to find a paint with this actual name, so does anyone have any idea what color this might be?

Was thinking Tamiya Buff might work, but that might be too dark?

Humbrol have a Linen, no 74. But you could make your own, white with maybe tamiya buff.

I am a Norfolk man and i glory in being so

My preferred mix is white w/Tamiya Dark Yellow, with a little Buff added to balance it out. Gives a bit of a warmer tone.

Here's what the Humbrol looks like.

That's a nice model too.

I’ve got Pollyscale Doped Linen... IF you can find it on eBay. Pollyscale were the best acrylics out there. Such a shame they’re hard to find most of their color lines.

For Testors I mix radome tan with flat white, about half and half.
