What Tojo said... sprayed on too thick and too close to the model. Always spray in several light coats. Leave it alone and let it cure. It might take a week if need be.

I never had a problem with Alclad,is it possible that the coat was applied too thick,I always mist on any clearcoat lightly, building it up gradually.

Hello everyone,

Still new to airbrushing and even newer to clear coats. I picked up Alclad gloss on the recommendation of my local shop, and I tried it out for the first time before putting decals on a Bwing model.  Well now 24 hours later the model's surface still feels tacky/sticky. The gloss shine looks good. I'm just worried about the tacky feeling. I was going to try a second coat after appling the decal, but wanted to see if something about how I applied the first coat was wrong.
