Badger airbrushes
Posted by Archangel Shooter on Sunday, January 20, 2019 2:14 PM

If anyone is looking for a new airbrush, Badger is having a birthday sale on select AB models till the 22nd. $55 plus $10 for shipping. Having three on hand with one being a new Sotar 20/20 I got the other month, I was agonizing about getting a forth AB but I did, I couldn't pass up on that price.

Thanks for the post.  I've been wanting a new dual action.  Picked up the krome for 65 shipped!

Thanks,

John

I just did some painting with my Krome using Tamiya paint on a Pz IV, I really had to thin it. It was a toss up for me but I ordered the Omni 3000 since besides using it on my models, I might try doing some canvas painting in the future.

One thing with doing business with Bader is you have to be patient, they even mentioned it in their email regarding the sale. I sent a couple of AB to their service department for a refurb and it took over a month to get them back but I was please with the results.

I believe it was a special promotion until Jan. 4th 2019 (?) where you had to send an email with a happy birthday in the subject line. Once you get your reply, you must follow rule #1 and wait for another email response from Badger. Once you do, you have 10 days to purchase a new airbrush. I just got a reminder this afternoon sinc3 the offer ends in 3 days times from now. Gonna order mine tonight. So many airbrushes to choose from what’s being offered.

Ordered my first Badger airbrush last night. Decided to get the Patriot instead of the Krome. I was debating on the Xtreme Patriot but didn’t see much if a difference to the regular Patriot. I figure I’ll go with the easy to use and simple airbrush.

My other two airbrushes are the Paasche single action and the NEO Iwata dual action.

Badgers aren't priced too bad at Amazon for what I want. Thinking of a dual action 150 siphon, but I have the spare needles and all from my 200 to use in it. I'm thinking it was around $55 for that when not getting the whole kit.

But most recently I've had a hankering to shoot with a fan cap. This puts the Paasche ts on the table, around $50 with a .66 needle, standard cap and fan cap. The fan cap puts down a 3" swath of paint. With enough retarder I guess I can get that with my .55 tip now when I back up to 8 or 10" away and open up. The .75 guzzles paint so that's kind of out imo.. So far I've bought nothing. I have all three nozzles for the 200 and for the Paasche H. This fan cap has me wondering. Painting 1/1 it's all we used of course, there is a certain place in my heart for siphon feed and fan caps. I'd just put one on my 200 but to my knowledge Badger doesn't make one.
