Help with basecoat and enamel paint
Posted by Mauritzson on Friday, February 22, 2019 6:30 PM

Hi eveyone,

I’ve got some trouble with my flames of war models. I’m using Sherman drab spray(https://www.flamesofwar.com/default.aspx?tabid=79&ProductID=6165) to basecoat my models. I think its easier with an spray to get an even coat. I’m new to all of this, so I haven’t got an airbrush yet.

I have now bought some weathering products from AK, and most of them are enamel products. When I’m using for example the wash i can see that it dissolves my base coat and ruining the color. Am I doing anything wrong? Or is these two Color types not suppose to work togheter?

thanks!

Yes,those AK washes are enamel and will attack your enamel base coat.To use them you must protect your base coat with an acrylic clear.
