Greg I'm sure it would I also use mine to run a finish nailer, stapler and even my big frame nailer at 75psi. I've even run my air hammer with no problems at 100psi and it keeps right up. So far along with being used on almost every model i have built I've also used it to build my front porch, rear deck all the floors in my house along with the wood work. Used it with the stapler after tearing down all the plaster and putting up around forty rolls of insulation. I have also used it in the building of two barns. Come to think of it, this compressor is probably the best tool buy I have ever made in both this hobby and construction.

if money is no problem have a look at Jun-air or dental compressors which do use a fridge compressor and are just as quiet as your fridge, interested in a look at this California model as well not that it will be available here in Oz.

I use a California air tools compressor it has a all aluminum tank so no worry about rust. It's also super quite it's almost like a compressor for a refrigerator but can run at 100psi constant.

So, a prime consideration with a multi-use compressor is noise. Most of my modeling is done at night, and I have neighbors, so I like a quiet compressor.

You can buy various sorts of compressor configurations that feed an airbrush only or otherrs that have more utility but can feed an airbrush, costing $59-$359. What are your requirements ? I suggest one with a tank.

 

It might be that the tank has a leak from rusting internally. It's a good idea to blow those out whenever you can.

If that's the case, toss it.

Might try slopping on a mix of 1:1 water:liquid detergent, then fire up the compressor.

If you are lucky, your leak will blow bubbles and at least you'll know where it is.
