hey there iam building the accurate minitures il-2 with skis. my question is i want to put white winter camo over the normal paint job. what would be the best way to do this?what type of paint ? i will be using mm enamel for the under colors.

I used washable kid's Crayola white paint on top of the green/brown summer camo...and then rubbed some off here and there...I am happy with it...

Hey jeeves thanks for the reply.How did u apply it?Bush it on,airbrush?did u thin it,and if so with water or what.thanks in advance(i just dont want to mess this up).

Well...

I figured in the war it was applied with a broom (or at least in the sources I have read it was this way)....so I figured the messier the better Wink [;)] I used a regular paintbrush (of course at the time I didn't actually own an airbrush)....and the Crayola stuff is pretty watery to begin with so I just applied it.....waited a while for it to mostly dry...and then used a handiwipe to pull some of it off the high traffic areas....

But you might want to wait for others' replies before you just go with mine....
