Compatibility of Ammo of Mig Acrylics with Tamiya Rattle Can Primer
Posted by Bill Clarke on Friday, June 14, 2019 10:52 PM

I have just sprayed a coat of Ammo of Mig grey acrylic (straight out of the bottle) over a primer coat of Tamiya fine light grey from a rattle can.

The acrylic went all splotchy (took a photo and saved it to my computor, but cant figure out how to get it in a post) and I'm not sure what the problem was, too high a pressure (about 30psi) or the base coat.

Any suggestions?

If it sort of beads up, I have had that issue too. I wasn't able to correct it though so I too look forward to an answer to this.

Had the same problem, gave up on the Mig also.Don't think it has anything to do with the primer,I have read that the stuff has to be mixed really well and thinned properly, but never was able to pull it off.I had a set of Modern Russian colors
