Gooey paint
Posted by Srpuln10 on Saturday, June 29, 2019 1:13 PM

I've got a bottle of tamiya xf-65. I've got half or a little less than that. It doesn't matter if I stir or shake or both. It is like thick glue. It still goes on whatever I'm painting. Should I put a little retarder or thinner in it hopping it'll help or what? Ive got a few more bottles of it i can use. It's not like it's my last. If there's no real answer we can use this one as a  experiment for future  dilemmas

Try some distilled water. I have used that in the past with Tamiya paints. Although eventually that bottle of paint will break down and cease to be usable.

Or you can transfer what you need into a smaller container for each session, and thin that as needed.
