Paasche airbrush adaptor doesn't fit

Wouldnt bother at the hardware store. Even if they have a big metric offering. I went down that rabbit hole and turned up nothing at two of the best and oldest independent stores in the country. YMMV

I used to swap hoses but tired of bending down to uncouple them from the compressor on the floor. Went to a quick disconnect at the brush end and haven't looked back.  Badger makes the nicest quick couplers ive seen.  I have them for a paasche, badger and iwata - which is kinda the standard.  I also have two versions of the Asian imports from eBay in the Iwata style and they are nice too. Not as refined as Badger's but  5 and a disconnect for $8 delivered is hard to beat.

Thanks for the advice!  I've bit the bullet and gone ahead and ordered the correct part from Paasche direct.  I figure it will be cheaper in the long run that way.  And it also gave me the opportunity to just go ahead and get some different size needles and tips for the AB as well.

If you have a well stocked hardware store handy you can often find adapters for threaded fittings that can save you an internet order and shipping costs. Worth a look.

My solution is to have the right hose for the particular airbrush with a quick release coupler on the supply end. The only time the hose needs to come off is for a breakdown cleaning.

Jammer -  I had a similar issue, ordered an adaptor for Paashe air hose to fit a Badger AB, it was aftermarket. The thread pitch was very inaccurate, it did not want fit on the airbrush, but screwed onto the airhose just fine.

Friend Don Wheeler sent me an adaptor that he picked up from Coast Airbrush, same thing, bad fit. He went back for another and had counter guy check for good fit. Same thing, won't fit Badger AB. Guy took off for a minute, came back with a re-tapped fitting, worked OK.

After market Asian stuff is often poorly made, now I just order from manufacturers on this side of the pond.

I had a similar problem and took everything down to the auto parts store and worked on it with the counter guy.

Unfortunately, auto parts stores aren't much what they used to be.
