Another Sanding Question...
Posted by Anonymous on Wednesday, April 7, 2004 6:40 PM
Hi Guys, I'm finally, for the most part, finished priming the Brad 2. I redid the antenna bases w/copper wire for realism and to cover mistakes of course. lol The Tamiya bases weren't so good. I decided to go with guitar strings and they looked pretty good but the coiled bases were done for. I tried Squadron greeen putty, but to no avail. I couldn't scribe the grooves. Then in the LHS the employee suggested the wire technique. I can't believe I didn't think af that! I should have enquired here as well.Dunce [D)]Oh Well, my mistake. But f you are ever in Austin go to King's Hobby Shop they are the best around! Very Knowledgable! Anyways, sorry for rambling< but it's been a pretty good day so far. I just got back from a job interview and it seems like a winner! Well here's the question and thanks for listening : I primed with Krylon Primer and I had to reprime the antennas where I added the coils. I need to sand the antennas and some plating where the bustle rack is going due to excess paint. It's been about 20 hrs. since I apllied the last coat. Do you think it's okay to sand those areas now or should i wait a full three days as I originally planned? Thanks, -SpencerTongue [:P]

It's okay Saltydog, I went ahead and sanded them allready. The paint seemed dry enough to me and it looks okay thus far. Thanks for the reply. I was kinda thinking that myself. Either the armor or techniques forums. Cheers, Spencer
