GMorrison That's the concept yes. Course then the filter is over the paint area so you need to watch to not shake stuff down from it. That actually is a "thing".

Yes both.
oldermodelguy JohnnyK I'm thinking that an updraft would mean less dust would fall on the wet paint. Am I correct? That's the concept yes. Course then the filter is over the paint area so you need to watch to not shake stuff down from it.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.
It's too clean......................better paint something quick!

Have you ever thought of flipping the booth over so it's drafting up and away from your paint job ? That's how I built mine, updraft.
That is a perfect paint booth, why didn't I think of that. Thanks for the idea...not only to build one but to keep it clean too.
we're modelers it's what we do
My spray booth is about four years old and it was just crusted with dried paint. The booth is made of two parts. The lower part contains the exhaust blower and the filters. The top part is a plastic spray booth. I took the top part outside and blasted it with my power washer. Worked great. All of the loose paint is now gone.
