I am currently in search of a clear that I like and have considered trying Tamiya (gloss and flat). I have never used this paint and have heard that using their lacquer thinner makes for a harder coat. Is it neccessary to use lacquer thinner or does their typical thinner (X20-A) do well enough? I ask because I prefer the lower toxicity of their regular thinner which I believe is alcohol based over LT. I have also heard that using Mr Leveling Thinner gives excellent results, so I do not really know what to choose.
I typically model military aircraft but I have a couple autos in the queue...hence the wondering about the gloss coat since I plan to polish it to a high shine.
