Bob D I have been reading up on the Metal colors and am leaning toward AK Extreme Metal. It gets good reviews and sounds easy to use. Another question I have is, can you use a Sealer on metal colors? Like you use Future or a gloss varnish on Acrylics.

I avoid clearcoats on metal finishes. First of all, decals really stick well to model finishes, so that helps alleviate the need to seal. Second, they often have a slight but noticable affect on the sheen, which I don't like.

AK xtreme meatals are great and bulletproof I hear. You can use a non lacquer based gloss but the paints are pretty strong.
I also like Alclad and it is my normal NMF. However, just to make sure I could still do a metal finish if Alclad disappeared, I have tried the Vallejo finish and it works fine.
For darker things like titanium and steel, I frequently use paint, drybrushed on.
I like Alclad II for bare metal finishes on aircraft. I have also used their paints on cars and motorcycles.
Thanks,
John
What are the best Metal colors for aircraft? Vallejo or AK?
