Can I use other name brand pigments with my pigment fixer I have now. It's AK pigment fixer. Or do I need to keep name brands to its own kind

I would say yes,go ahead and use it,pigments can be fixed with thinner, water, and alcohol,However you may want to test it on an old model.

Tks. I didn't think it would matter but honest to goodness I didn't know. I didn't know that you could use the other things you mentioned. What's the best way to get the pigment to build up say like mud or dirt. I know that rust is something that doesn't build up like mud and dirt. I've seen a lot of models that has build up of mud and stuff and just wondering how it's done. And tks again

I have mixed in some plaster of paris to give it texture if I wanted it thick. If I wanted not a lot of buildup, you can also just put them on a little thicker and instead of mixing them, just wet them enough to fix them instead of spreading out. It's hard to explain, try some Youtube videos
