Bubbles in cup!!!
Posted by superviper88 on Friday, April 9, 2004 11:28 PM
Hi, i have a double action brush that keeps on bubbling in its colour cup after about half an hours use. I presume its because of a clog in the tip. It can be cleared, but the paint flow wont be that strong anymore. This happens everytime i spray, yet my paint is already very thin. im pretty new to airbrushing... does this happen often? thanks...

Probably you have an air leak in your airbrush. Try to check the area between the tip joins the noozle.

You are correct, that happens when the tip becomes clogged with paint and it begins to backflush the air into the color cup. What I do is blast as much paint as you can for a second to clear it and then try and clean the tip of the needle off as best as possible.

I have bubbling problems also with my Iwata HP-CS. I've checked everything and there seems to be no poblem with my airbrush. The instruction manual that came with my Iwata says that it might be of my nozzle,/body seal, cracked nozzle. But i can't find anything wrong with these parts.
