Metal Color Sealer

Do you need to put sealer on Metal color planes ? Testors has one special made for metal paint or is a clear coat just as good , Like Future or a gloss clear coat?

No it's not necessary, any sealer will do,but if your planning to mask it,don't use regular tape,it will lift it no matter what.Use Post its or friskit film work best

I agree.  Decals stick to it great, and I notice some reduction of the sheen when I clearcoat it.

Tojo I mask with regular masking tape over Alclad and AK Real Metal without issues.

It usually works for me, but I have had trouble a couple of times.  If it is not on a compound curve I mask with pieces of 3M post-it notes.  Very low tack.

Sure thing, just advising to err on the side of caution I wouldn't want my advice to ruin someone's paint job.
