Acrylics and Enamels?

I routinely use all sorts of paints but keep this simple order in mind; First lacquers then enamels then acrylics. The only wash that has given me a hard time is an oil wash. Some people swear by the oil washes but I find them to be difficult and dangerous to the finish, I reccomend using a sludge wash over a clear sealant.

Thanks Swanny, So your saying to paint the interior first, then the exterior? That's cool because I'd planned to do that anyways and the interior is a lighter color also. Then the Future process and decals. Thanks Again, -Spencer

Actually, I think what is trying to say is that the order of paint on top of each other matters. It's OK to paint acrylics over enamels or laquers, and OK to paint enamels over laquers because they won't attack the underlying layer of paint. Painting laquer over acrylic or enamel can cause the acrylic or enamel to be dissolved. Likewise for enamel over acrylic.

I have had several people mention to me that they have painted enamel over acrylic without any problems. I haven't dried it myself, so I'm just repeating what I've been told.

That's cool, Thanks fellas. I'm thinking of ... Well wait a minute Polly Scale is Acrylic right so that's ok, but I was also thinking of maybe using testor's "rubber." Hmmm, Grimy Black or Rubber? Decisions...decisions....on road wheels.

i use acrylics for everything. wanna start using lacquors soon, but cant find anywhere that has it
