Considering its Hobbyboss, I would not implicitly trust the color fidelity of the insignia blue. Mind you, in WWII, there often was paint fade on insignia blue, especially depending upon the climate of the theater where the aircraft served. But yes, if you’re gonna mask, stick with ANA 502.

I have in my stash Hobbyboss' P-61.

It is my intention to replace most of the decals with paint using masks.

However the star and bar insignia blue is a bit lighter than I expected (ANA 502).

Soes anyone know if this decal lighter shade was used on night fighters or do I just stick with ANA 502?
