Substitute for Model Master Russian Flanker Medium Blue?
Posted by Phantom Fan on Friday, April 17, 2020 9:42 AM

Since it seems I can't find any bottles of Testors Model Master Russian Flanker Medium Blue paint anywhere, are there any other brands that offer the same or similar color?

Try looking at Sprue Brothers. Look at the Mr Paint Brand. Excellent paint. great coverage, airbrush ready, no thinning required.

Tojo beat me to the Vallejo offering lol. Course it's an acrylic paint if that matters to you.

Thanks for all the advice. I've been using Model Master enamels all the time I've been modeling, but it looks like acrylic is where it's at now. So Vallejo it is.

Something you may want to consider is a Russian brand called AKAN. They have an extensive range of Soviet and Russian colors in both acrylic and lacquer. https://www.lindenhillimports.com is their US distributor.
