What would be the best comparison for Light Gull Grey as I want to finish my F-4B/N Phantom and I can't find any Light Gull Grey in stock. I am leaning toward Vallejo Dark Ghost Grey. What do you think.

I think ADC grey, like for Air Force F-102s, would be a closer match. Dark Ghost is very different grey.

Every company makes the color but no one has it in stock and it might be months before they can get it from the manufacturer.

I see Scalehobbyist has FS 36440 "Flat Gull Gray" in a spray can, and Lifecolor "Light Gull Gray".

Dark Ghost Gray and Light Gull Gray are completely different shades of gray. Try looking for Light Gray ANA 602 or ANA 620, the WWII era color that became Light Gull Gray.

Just fwiw light gull grey is available in Mr Color paint from Spray Gunner. It comes right up in my browser search. And it's in stock but it's semi gloss.. It sounds like you sprayed your color already but thought I'd pass it on anyway.

Semi Gloss works fine with decals. It gives a smooth enough finish most of the time to where no additional gloss coat for decals is needed.

Ya Stik, I just noted the SG aspect in case it mattered to the OP. It wouldn't matter to me. Course it's lacquer, that might matter too lol !
