Didn't have the stripping reaction on the topside - guessing bc I had already sealed it with PFC....  And the bottom was bare. This I think supports what you are saying...

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

From the experimentation I've done with the MM Acryl paints, just trying to figure out how to airbrush them without constant clogging in a high-altitude/low humidity environment, they actually responded very well to being thinned with ammonia.  So, my guess is that MM Acryl paints have an ammonia component to them which will remove just about every other paint if it goes on wet.  Have you tried airbrushing it?  Personally, I like to use the good old fashioned Testors, lacquer based, Dull Cote and Gloss Cote clear coats.  A lot less hassle to airbrush, and not as damaging as ammonia.  Still have to airbrush it though, or it will lift whatever paint is underneath it if it goes on wet (like from a brush).

So i had this little guy i primed with a rattle can 2 coat rustoleum primer then sprayed  with Vallejo Model Color acrylic.  I then left the bottom alone besides brusing a part or 2(tamiya acrylic) while i PFC the top, decals, PFC, then a little detailing then MM flat acryl, no. 4636.  There was much time drying between coats - days.  Finally decided to cover the bottom and brushed on some of the MM flat acryl and it stripped off some of the vallejo....

Are they, Vallejo and MM flat acryl not compatiable?

Keep on modeling!

All the best,

William
