Badger Stynylrez Primers
Posted by Of Models & Monsters on Friday, June 26, 2020 10:05 AM

I've heard great things about stynylrez and I'm considering trying it, my only question is that I already have Vallejo's airbrush thinner and cleaner, will these clean it out effectively or will I have to buy a special cleaner for it?

Cleans up with water if ya want but I  use X20A thinner because it works better than just water. Great primer sprays right from the bottle no thinning required.

Water or alchohol.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

If anything gets dried on, 91% ipa takes it off, I usually clean up with warm water, back flush, spray through. Then alcohol and a quick rinse with water again. It takes a few passes to get it all out by flushing but it works. Warm water and dish soap works too.

I've never bought airbrush cleaner in 50 years of airbrushing, either acetone, lacquer thinner, alcohol usually get the stubborn stuff, water for the rest or soap and water etc.. Vallejo probably will.

I have been using it for a few years now and love it.   Do use Badgers AB cleaner and it cleans it right out.  One tip, if your airbrush has a cap for the paint cup, use it.  It keeps the primer from skinning on the side of your cup and prevents clogs if they drop off the side of the cup and get pulled into the spray regulator.
