                        You should read the book if you get a chance, it's really really a great book and the Rodger Young plays an important part.

                        In real life, Rodger Young was a Congressional Medal of Honor winner on New Georgia. His squad got pinned down by a Japanese machine gun and were all going to die as they had very little cover. Rodger attacked it directly and eliminated the nest with a grenade, despite taking point blank fire the whole way. His left arm and rifle and most of the left side of his body were badly shot up and useless, but he continued to advance on the position. He actually threw the grenade as he was shot directly in the face from 15 feet away. He saved the lives of everyone else there that day. They wrote a song about it. Truly a hero.

                        To enlighten everyone the Rodger Young starship is the identifying image I'm using this month. This was the main starship that got really reamed in the movie 'Starship Troopers.' The whole ship had it middle section ripped completely out of it in its firey, very dramatic, death. That scene was a real eye-opener. So I'm using my prop for my picture.

                        man, you hit me where it hurts that time brother!!! low blow. i do have a softness for heavy equipment!! i dont have much use for a cat loader, but i'd sure like to have a 4 wheel-drive cat backhoe, a tracked hoe, and especially a telescopic material handler!! if the Lord lets me live long enough and He tarry's, i'll have atleast the telescopic handler in my inventory within the next 5 years!! later.

                        I've been reading the posts around which Airbrush to buy and I'm going to leap from the frying pan into the fire: Which airbrush should "I" buy?

                        I do mostly 1/48 scale WWII aircraft, starting to get into the more complex German camo patterns. I also dabble in 1/35 armor, again the more interesting camo schemes. I use an Aztek 470 ( I know, but it serves me well!) for my general work, mostly spraying acrylics. I'm looking for something that will do very fine line work.

                        Recommendations? Thanks for your comments on all of these postes. Good to see so many folks have a great sense of humor!
